Notes

  1. A boundary condition is applied to an entity, which could be a vertex or an edge.
  2. Two types of boundary conditions can be applied depending of the valuse of parameter BndType.
    1. If BndType = CLAMPED, the entity will be clamped, i.e. all its degrees of freedom are constrained.
    2. If BndType = PINNED, the entity will be pinned, i.e. its displacement degrees of freedom are constrained while its rotational degrees of freedom are unconstrained.
  3. If non zero, time dependent displacements or rotations must be prescribed, this can be done using the prescribed displacement element instead of boundary conditions.
  4. It is possible to attach comments to the definition of the object; these comments have no effect on its definition.
