Notes

This data section contains a single entry, AnalysisType, that can take two values.

  1. if AnalysisType = STATIC, a static problem is solved: the steady equilibrium configuration of the system under steady loads is computed. All terms involving time derivatives are assumed to vanish.
  2. if AnalysisType = DYNAMIC, a dynamic problem is solved: the dynamic equilibrium configuration of the system under time dependent loads is computed. The generalized-α scheme is used to integrate the nonlinear equations of motion. The spectral radius of the amplification matrix, denoted ρ, determines the amount of numerical dissipation introduced by the generalized-α scheme.
