  1. The linear constraint element imposes a linear constraint between two degrees of freedom of the model. The linear constraint element is a holonomic constraint element that is associated with an edge, EdgeName. The linear constraint element involves degrees of freedom d0 and d1 at vertices Vertex0Name and Vertex1Name of edge EdgeName. If u0 and u1 are those two degrees of freedom, the linear constraint writes: α0 u0 + α1 u1 = 0, where α0 and α1 are the linear constraint coefficients.
