  1. A spatial clearance element is a joint that allows relative rotations and displacements between two rigid bodies, with the enforcement of a relative distance constraint by means of a clearance model. A spatial clearance element is associated with an edge, EdgeName. Vertices Vertex0Name and Vertex1Name are associated with this edge. Two rigid body masses, Rbm0 and Rbm1, must be connected to vertices Vertex0Name and Vertex1Name, respectively. The shape of Rbm0 is a cylinder of radius ρk and the shape of body Rbm1 a disk of radius ρl; these radii are defined in the clearance model. The disk is constrained to remain inside the cylinder.
