Inclusion of data files

  1. The include command allows the inclusion of additional input files to the master input file. When the master input file has been completely read, file File1Name.dat is opened and read to the end; the model definition proceeds with the data blocks defined in that file. This file is then closed and the reading process continues with the contents of File2Name.dat, until all included files are read. Recursive file inclusion is allowed.
  2. Two types of files can be included, data files, such as File1Name.dat or File2Name.dat and template files, such as File1Name.tpl or File2Name.tpl. The order in which files are included is immaterial.
  3. if ActiveCommand = YES, all files are read, if NO, none of the files are included.
  4. It is possible to attach comments to the definition of the object; these comments have no effect on its definition.

Assemblies

If template files are included, it is then possible to to define the assembly AssemblyName. All the objects defined in the template files will be part of the assembly. The definition of an assembly allows a parametric definition of the model.

  1. The design parameters to be used with this assembly are listed in a number of design parameter files File1Name.dgp, File2Name.dgp, ....
  2. The definition of the prefix label Prefix and fixed frame name FxdFrameName give rise to the automatic definition of two design parameters, #PFX and #FixedFrame, respectively. All geometric objects defined in the included template files are defined in the fixed frame FxdFrameName.
  3. The assembly will be connected to the rest of the model at a number of vertices Vertex1, Vertex2,... VertexN.

Include SectionBuilder input files

The include command is also used to define input file for SectionBuilder in the pre-processing section of Dymore. The included files should have the extension “.seb”.

When including SectionBuilder input files, no assembly can be defined.

Include NormalBuilder input files

The include command is also used to define input file for NormalBuilder in the pre-processing section of Dymore. The included files should have the extension “.nob”.

When including NormalBuilder input files, no assembly can be defined.
